5 Ingredients in 5 minutes: A Summer Watermelon Salad

Not going to lie, as hot as it's been I'm still not quite ready for fall... Summer is one of my favorite times of the year. You get to wear the cutest clothes, layout next to the pool and eat one of the most refreshing foods, watermelon!

Watermelon is one of those foods that can be enjoyed a million different ways and can be served in any setting. It's one of the many foods I eat after spending the day outside or when I'm in the mood for a healthy, and quick snack.

A few years ago I came across a recipe for a refreshing watermelon salad. It required 5 ingredients and took 5 minutes to make. This recipe is on of my favorites when it comes to snacking or lunch options for summer and id like to share it with you.

1 lime
2 cups cubed watermelon (pre-cut from produce section)
1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
1 pack mint leaves (produce section)
1 cup fresh blackberries

  1. Take 2 cups of watermelon and place it in a medium-size bowl.
  2. Spread 1 pack of mint leaves over watermelon.
  3. Add 1 cup of fresh blackberries to bowl.
  4. Take crumbled feta and sprinkle over the mixed fruit and mint.
  5. Lastly cut the lime in half and squeeze juice from lime over the entire bowl, then mix everything together.

Vala! You now have a delicious and healthy meal.
